OKTO is looking for a Mid Back End Developer to lead the design and implementation of scalable backend services and high-performance APIs using Node.js. You will serve as a technical reference within the team, conducting code reviews and mentoring developers to foster growth and technical maturity.

What You'll Do

Lead the design and implementation of scalable backend services and high-performance APIs using Node.js, focusing on resilient architecture and long-term maintainability.
Establish technical standards and best practices for integrating systems within a microservices architecture, ensuring service cohesion and platform scalability.
Proactively identify performance bottlenecks and propose robust optimization strategies, ensuring high availability, reliability, and observability of services.
Serve as a technical reference within the team by conducting thorough code reviews and mentoring less experienced developers.
Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including architecture decisions and critical business flows.
Collaborate with technical and product stakeholders to define backend solutions aligned with strategic business goals.

What We're Looking For

Advanced proficiency in Node.js and its ecosystem, with proven experience in building complex backend systems.
Strong background in microservices architecture, including asynchronous communication strategies, API contract management, and versioning.
Deep understanding of RESTful API design and consumption.
Experience with both relational (SQL) and non-relational (NoSQL) databases, including efficient data modeling and query optimization.
Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration tools in production environments.
Experience with version control and CI/CD pipelines.
Expertise in performance tuning, observability practices, and monitoring tools.
Fluent in Portuguese and located in Brazil.
