About the Role
The consultant will deliver expert guidance on Microsoft Purview technologies, lead client engagements, and design scalable data protection strategies tailored to enterprise needs.
Responsibilities
- Design and deploy data governance frameworks using Microsoft Purview
- Conduct assessments of current data landscapes and identify compliance gaps
- Support clients in classifying and labeling sensitive data assets
- Integrate Purview solutions with existing security and cloud infrastructure
- Provide technical leadership during implementation phases
- Develop documentation for configurations, workflows, and operating procedures
- Deliver training sessions to client teams on Purview capabilities
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to data mapping and lineage
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align security initiatives
- Advise on best practices for data loss prevention and retention policies
- Ensure solutions meet regulatory requirements such as GDPR and CCPA
- Participate in pre-sales activities and technical scoping sessions
- Monitor project progress and report on milestones and deliverables
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Microsoft security ecosystem updates
- Support audit readiness through policy alignment and tooling validation
- Optimize data cataloging and metadata management processes
- Lead discovery workshops with stakeholders to gather requirements
- Evaluate integration points with Azure Active Directory and Microsoft 365
- Assist in developing custom connectors for on-premises data sources
- Promote data governance awareness across client organizations
- Contribute to internal knowledge sharing and solution accelerators
- Ensure secure configuration of Purview environments
- Validate data lineage accuracy across hybrid data platforms
- Assist in incident response related to data governance failures
- Drive continuous improvement in client data protection postures
