Responsibilities
- Oversee internal and external metal flows across all trading platforms, covering base, ferrous, foreign exchange, and precious metals.
- Execute new trades and, when necessary, handle booking and manual recapping.
- Manage market risk for the metals product set within defined risk limits and group risk appetite, aiming for positive returns.
- Reconcile client and internal flows to ensure all book positions are validated and accepted by the London team during the franchise handover to the London time zone.
- Work with sales and broking teams across multiple time zones to develop hedging solutions for clients, focusing on expanding the metals client base in Asia.
Requirements
- Solid understanding of financial futures markets and experience in a trading environment.
- Experience in a regulated environment with knowledge of associated risk and compliance requirements.
- Must have futures dealing experience.
Nice to Have
- Background in the metals business is beneficial.
- Fluency in an East Asian language, such as Japanese, is advantageous.
