About the Role
The therapist will evaluate and treat male patients with pelvic health conditions using telehealth platforms, providing individualized therapy plans and ongoing support while adhering to state regulations and clinical best practices.
Responsibilities
- Conduct virtual assessments for male patients with pelvic floor dysfunction
- Develop customized treatment plans for urinary, bowel, and pelvic pain conditions
- Deliver one-on-one remote therapy sessions using secure video platforms
- Educate patients on anatomy, condition management, and self-care techniques
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment as needed
- Document patient encounters in compliance with medical record standards
- Collaborate with care coordinators to support patient adherence
- Maintain licensure and comply with Maryland practice regulations
- Stay current with clinical research in men's pelvic health
- Ensure patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance during all interactions
- Provide guidance on posture, movement, and behavioral modifications
- Use evidence-based protocols for pelvic floor muscle training
- Respond to patient messages within defined timeframes
- Participate in team meetings and clinical quality reviews
- Support patient onboarding and intake processes
- Refer patients to specialists when outside scope of practice
- Promote health literacy through clear, accessible communication
- Adapt communication style to diverse patient backgrounds
- Maintain consistent scheduling and punctuality for appointments
- Contribute to development of patient education materials
- Follow clinical supervision and peer review procedures
- Report adverse events or concerns per protocol
- Engage in professional development activities
