xAI is looking for a Member of Technical Staff to advance our mission of creating AI systems that can accurately understand the universe. In this role, you will build foundational frameworks and systems to improve AI reasoning and agent capabilities.
What You'll Do
- Build frameworks to improve reasoning capability.
- Build distributed reinforcement learning systems.
- Develop techniques for inference time compute, such as tree search and planning.
- Develop environments and harnesses for agents.
- Solve and take ownership of components across the entire stack.
What We're Looking For
- Experience with large-scale reinforcement learning systems.
- Expertise in designing and implementing distributed systems.
- A habit of keeping up with state-of-the-art RL and inference time compute algorithms.
