About the Role
The individual in this position will be responsible for verifying client identities, processing onboarding documentation, and maintaining compliance with anti-money laundering regulations during the account activation process.
Responsibilities
- Verify client identity documents for authenticity and accuracy
- Process onboarding applications within defined service level agreements
- Collaborate with compliance teams to resolve verification discrepancies
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of KYC and AML regulatory requirements
- Escalate complex cases to senior team members or compliance officers
- Ensure data entered into internal systems reflects verified information
- Respond to client inquiries related to onboarding status
- Support process improvements to reduce onboarding cycle time
- Conduct risk assessments on client profiles as needed
- Adhere to internal audit and documentation standards
- Work across time zones to support global client base
- Participate in training for new tools and compliance updates
- Flag suspicious activity in line with reporting protocols
- Coordinate with legal and product teams on edge cases
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive client data
- Use case management systems to track and update requests
- Follow escalation paths for high-risk or politically exposed persons
- Support periodic re-verification of existing clients
- Contribute to knowledge base articles for internal use
- Ensure consistent application of onboarding policies
- Monitor changes in regulatory expectations
- Assist in audits and regulatory examinations
- Improve client experience during verification steps
- Identify bottlenecks in current workflows
- Maintain accuracy under high-volume conditions
