Responsibilities
- Identify, register, and evaluate donors to confirm eligibility based on regulatory and company standards including cGMPs, DCOPs, CFR, PPTA, and internal policies.
- Collect venous and fingerstick blood samples as necessary during the screening process.
- Ensure a seamless and efficient donor journey through registration and evaluation stages.
- Assess signs of donor ineligibility prior to donation, conduct vital checks, perform HCT/TP tests, manage deferrals, and respond to adverse reactions.
- Collaborate with physicians or designated substitutes for physical exams, medical reviews, SPE approvals, NAT testing procedures, and immunization records.
- Carry out scheduled calibration and cleaning of medical equipment in compliance with DCOP guidelines.
- Verify donor identity and examine documentation in accordance with standard operating procedures.
- Set up and operate Haemonetics Autopheresis systems, interpret alarm indicators, and manage shutdown or emergency protocols including power outages.
- Follow established SOPs for maintaining calibration, standardization, and sanitation schedules for all equipment.
- Ensure donor areas are consistently supplied with necessary materials and disposable items.
- Accurately enter donor data and exceptions into the DMS system and support additional tasks as needed.
- Document all required information correctly and in alignment with company SOPs.
- Observe donors throughout the process to detect potential complications and respond appropriately to adverse events or collection irregularities.
