Complete Health is seeking a Medical Office Receptionist to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our patients and visitors, ensuring a smooth and positive experience through excellent service and administrative support.
What You'll Do
- Welcome patients and visitors in person and on the telephone, answering or referring inquiries.
- Schedule appointments to optimize patient satisfaction, provider time, and treatment room utilization.
- Keep patient appointments on schedule by notifying providers of arrivals and reviewing service delivery.
- Comfort patients by anticipating anxieties, answering questions, and maintaining the reception area.
- Ensure availability of treatment information by filing and retrieving patient records.
- Maintain patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information.
- Obtain revenue by recording and updating financial data, collecting patient charges, and expediting third-party claims.
- Maintain business office inventory and equipment by checking stock, ordering supplies, and scheduling service.
- Help patients in distress by responding to emergencies.
- Protect patient rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information.
- Maintain operations by following policies and procedures and reporting needed changes.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Be flexible to travel and assist at other locations based on business needs and management direction.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in a patient-facing medical office reception or similar administrative role.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for greeting patients and handling inquiries.
- Excellent organizational abilities to manage scheduling, records, and accounts.
- High degree of discretion and professionalism in handling confidential patient information.
- Ability to be flexible and travel to assist at other practice locations.
Benefits & Compensation
- Hourly pay range: $15.25 - $19.60, based on years of medical office experience.
Work Mode
This is an onsite position located at 832 Princeton Avenue SW, Birmingham, AL 35211. You must be available to work at this primary location and be flexible to travel to other sites as needed.
