Responsibilities
- Support patient care activities before, during, and after medical procedures under the supervision of clinical staff
- Set up treatment rooms and sterilize surgical tools in accordance with AAAHC guidelines
- Assist doctors during pre-operative evaluations, surgical procedures, and post-operative recovery
- Apply post-treatment dressings and compression garments while prioritizing patient comfort
- Maintain sanitary and sterile conditions in clinical areas and properly dispose of biohazardous waste
- Safeguard patient records with strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and proper documentation practices
- Monitor and manage inventory levels of medical supplies and equipment
- Educate patients and caregivers on treatment plans, medications, and follow-up instructions
- Retrieve, update, and organize patient health records as needed
- Work collaboratively with clinical and administrative staff to achieve patient care and operational targets
