Responsibilities
- Support patient treatment before, during, and after medical procedures under clinical oversight
- Set up treatment areas and sterilize surgical tools following AAAHC guidelines
- Help doctors during pre-operative evaluations, treatments, and recovery care
- Apply post-treatment dressings and compression garments while prioritizing patient comfort
- Keep operating spaces clean and sterile, and dispose of biohazard materials safely
- Store and handle patient documentation securely, following HIPAA regulations
- Monitor and assist with inventory of medical equipment and supplies
- Give patients and their caregivers clear guidance on treatment plans and medication use
- Locate and organize patient files as needed for clinical or administrative purposes
- Work with the clinical team to achieve both patient care and operational objectives
