About the Role
The position involves conducting policy research and evaluation studies focused on Medicaid and healthcare delivery innovations. The researcher will work on projects assessing program effectiveness, health equity, and system improvements, using both qualitative and quantitative approaches.
Responsibilities
- Analyze state and federal Medicaid policies and their impact on healthcare access and quality
- Design and execute evaluation studies for healthcare innovation initiatives
- Collect, manage, and interpret large administrative and survey datasets
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on research projects
- Produce reports, briefs, and presentations for diverse audiences
- Support grant proposal development with research design and methodology
- Conduct literature reviews and environmental scans
- Apply statistical models to assess health outcomes and disparities
- Engage with stakeholders including government agencies and healthcare providers
- Translate research findings into actionable policy recommendations
- Ensure compliance with data privacy and research ethics standards
- Present findings at conferences and technical meetings
- Contribute to peer-reviewed publications
- Use software such as Stata, R, or SAS for data analysis
- Assist in project management and timeline coordination
- Identify emerging issues in Medicaid and healthcare delivery
- Support the development of logic models and performance metrics
- Conduct interviews and focus groups with program stakeholders
- Review program documentation and performance data
- Maintain organized documentation of research processes and results
- Stay current with federal guidance and regulatory changes in Medicaid
- Work with external partners to validate research approaches
- Ensure research aligns with equity and inclusion principles
- Participate in client meetings and technical discussions
- Support dissemination strategies for research outputs

Preferred Qualifications
