Serco is looking for a Media Tutor to join the education team at HMP Fosse Way. In this role, you will help learners build practical media skills that support their personal growth and future opportunities. You will design and deliver educational programmes, manage accreditation, and foster a productive and secure learning environment.
What You'll Do
- Design and deliver educational programmes that align with course aims, reviewing and improving content for quality.
- Plan engaging lessons using high-quality materials and resources to optimise learning.
- Manage all aspects of learner accreditation.
- Keep accurate records of attendance, progress, and achievements, and provide performance reports as required.
- Build positive, professional relationships with learners to foster a productive learning environment.
- Support security procedures by carrying out rub-down searches of prisoners when required.
What We're Looking For
- A minimum Level 3 Award in Education and Training (QCF), or an equivalent qualification.
- A Level 3 qualification in Media or a related subject.
- Experience in roles requiring strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Flexibility and the ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
- Recent and relevant teaching experience in your subject area.
