About the Role

The role involves delivering mechanical engineering solutions for water and wastewater facilities, working across project phases from concept to construction support.

Responsibilities

  • Develop mechanical designs for water treatment and distribution systems
  • Perform calculations for fluid dynamics and system performance
  • Prepare detailed engineering drawings and specifications
  • Support feasibility studies and project planning
  • Collaborate with civil and environmental engineers on integrated designs
  • Review equipment layouts and mechanical configurations
  • Ensure compliance with industry codes and safety standards
  • Conduct site assessments and field investigations
  • Assist in selecting pumps, valves, and related mechanical components
  • Produce technical reports and documentation
  • Participate in design reviews and client meetings
  • Use CAD and BIM software for modeling and drafting
  • Evaluate energy efficiency in mechanical systems
  • Coordinate with contractors during construction phases
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues in existing facilities
  • Apply engineering principles to optimize water system operations
  • Support sustainable design practices in project development
  • Manage multiple tasks within project timelines
  • Review vendor submittals and technical data
  • Maintain accurate project records and design files
  • Stay current with advancements in water infrastructure technology
  • Follow applicable regulatory requirements for mechanical systems
  • Assist in cost estimation for mechanical components
  • Work under supervision of senior engineering staff
  • Contribute to health and safety planning for mechanical installations
