Responsibilities
- Examine all repair request forms, provide recommendations, obtain cost estimates, and consult with the Shop Manager as needed to determine the best repair approach.
- Service and upkeep all drill rigs, trucks, trailers, and other machinery.
- Complete documentation for all repairs and maintenance tasks and preserve records.
- Conduct 90-day and annual inspections on all drill rigs, trucks, trailers, and other equipment in accordance with DOT regulations.
- Regularly inspect and diagnose equipment conditions to ensure safety standards are met.
- Oversee and coordinate field testing for all completed work orders, reporting outcomes to the original requester and Shop Supervisor or Operations Manager.
- Maintain proper notification and documentation of all vehicle downtime, fixes, and resolutions, organizing files appropriately.
- Order materials, parts, and supplies as needed.
- Ensure rigs and equipment remain in good working order and condition.
- Document exceptions and forward them to the Administrative Assistant for entry into the computer system.
- Utilize diagnostic equipment for troubleshooting.
- Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Perform all duties in compliance with safety practices, policies, procedures, and government regulations.
- Complete additional duties and projects as assigned.
