Responsibilities
- Guarantee high-quality master data and its proper governance throughout ERP workflows, offering direction and supervision to shared service centers and process owners.
- Ensure master data elements like customers, vendors, accounts, cost centers, and items follow established global data definitions and policies.
- Manage the lifecycle governance of master data, including creation, modification, and deactivation procedures.
- Promote consistency in master data structures across different regions and functional areas.
- Take ownership of defining and documenting technical data standards such as naming rules, hierarchies, and attribute specifications.
- Collaborate with integration, IT, and ERP teams to enable smooth data exchange between Oracle Fusion and operational systems.
- Track data quality metrics and assist regional teams in resolving data discrepancies.
- Create and manage reporting tools to monitor data accuracy and regulatory compliance.
- Define and uphold technical data specifications, covering field details, formats, and validation criteria across platforms.
- Maintain alignment of data models and structures between Oracle Fusion and integrated systems.
- Support the design and documentation of data flow diagrams, field mappings, and transformation rules.
- Work closely with integration leads in order-to-cash, straight-through processing, record-to-report, and billing to align master data with finance process standards.
- Provide technical guidance during ERP implementations, system upgrades, and data migrations.
- Assess the operational impact of proposed master data changes on business functions.
- Lead initiatives to improve data quality and identify automation opportunities in data management.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit standards, and regulatory frameworks.
- Assist in training and developing regional teams on master data governance practices.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive data models, field-level definitions, and data dictionaries for master data entities.
- Implement and enforce data validation rules, interdependencies, and business logic across systems.
- Ensure technical data designs reflect and support business requirements.
- Partner with IT to convert business needs into actionable functional and technical data requirements.
- Support ongoing education and skill development for regional teams in master data governance.
