About the Role
As an Account Manager, you will take full ownership of a portfolio of customers in the paper and packaging industry. Your mission is to retain, grow, and develop long-term partnerships by delivering value-based chemical solutions that improve customer performance and profitability. This role combines commercial accountability, technical value selling, and project-driven growth in a highly customer-facing environment.
What You Will Do
Own and grow assigned accounts with responsibility for sales, margin, and profitability
Build trusted relationships across operations, technical teams, procurement, and management
Identify and develop continuous improvement projects with measurable customer value
Lead and evaluate mill trials and application projects, from planning to results
Expand business through new opportunities, upselling, and cross-selling
Act as the primary Buckman contact for your customers
Collaborate closely with technical, business development, and regional teams
Ensure safe, compliant, and professional operations at all customer sites

What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (e.g. Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Pulp & Paper, Biology)
5+ years’ experience in technical B2B sales (paper, packaging, water treatment, or industrial chemicals)
Strong commercial mindset with technical credibility
Ability to manage projects, priorities, and customer expectations independently
Confident communicator who builds trust and long-term relationships
