Responsibilities
- Load, unload, and transport materials within or near the plant, yard, warehouse, or work site
- Operate three types of forklifts: Cherry Picker (most of the day), Stand-up, and Sit Down
- Use an order picker in the warehouse to select parts for orders and pack them into cartons for shipment
- Prepare freight shipments by picking, weighing, banding, and/or wrapping skids for final dispatch
- Sweep floors and break down cardboard for recycling
- Read pick lists or follow instructions to determine material or container movement
- Mark pick lists to indicate picked materials and prepare move slips for transfers between stocking locations
- Load and unload materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand
- Load materials into vehicles and apply strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage during transit
- Attach identifying tags or labels to materials or mark information on containers
- Secure and move materials from storage or work sites to designated areas
- Count, weigh, and record the number of materials moved or handled on pick lists or daily production sheets
- Clean work area, forklifts, and trucks
- Perform operator-level maintenance on forklifts and trucks
- Place materials in appropriate stocking locations
- Rotate stock following First In, First Out principles
- Assist in counting materials during cycle counts and physical inventories
- Lift up to 50 pounds
- Stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach during shifts
- Use carts, dollies, hand trucks, and other equipment to move items
- Go up and down stairs where applicable
- Work at heights up to 40 feet on a mezzanine where applicable
- Adhere to strict safety, quality, and manufacturing production standards

- Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in a warehouse environment where higher levels of noise, dust, and activity can be expected. This is a non-temperature-controlled warehouse where temperatures can be hot in the summer and cold in the winter. There is frequent exposure to moving parts.
- Travel required: No travel is required.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- Must be able to work mandatory overtime.
