The Open Home Foundation is hiring a Marketing Web Developer to create, maintain, and update all websites within our portfolio. You will be instrumental in building performant, privacy-conscious, and accessible sites that support marketing campaigns and enable community contributions, working closely with designers and marketers.
What You'll Do
- Create, maintain and update websites within the Open Home Foundation portfolio.
- Enable community contributions by setting up workflows, improving contributor experience, and supporting pull requests.
- Develop, test, and deploy websites and landing pages for marketing campaigns, product launches, events, and other initiatives.
- Collaborate with designers to implement responsive and accessible front-end interfaces.
- Work with the marketing team to improve site performance, SEO, usability, and accessibility standards.
- Collaborate with cloud engineers to manage website stack.
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of professional experience working as a web developer.
- A strong background in JavaScript based frameworks and modern web standards.
- A strong understanding of Git for source control.
- A strong portfolio of marketing website work.
- Comfortable designing within constraints and iterating based on team feedback.
- Experience working collaboratively with other developers on a single project.
- Professional Fluency in English: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- European Residency: Must be currently based and eligible to work within Europe.
Nice to Have
- Experience using GitHub, Jekyll, Netlify, Cloudflare for website development with continuous integration workflows.
- Experience with the Eleventy framework.
- Experience with front-end frameworks such as Lit.
- Background in immersive web experience / Web 3D projects such as ThreeJS.
- Familiarity with open source culture and workflow.
- A passion for tech, smart homes and automation.
- Experience as a Home Assistant user.

Team & Environment
You will be the second web developer on the growing Marketing team, reporting to the Marketing Lead.

Compensation ranges vary by country: Netherlands: 50.100 - 62.000 EUR, UK: 43.000 - 55.000 GBP, Spain: 40.600 - 51.000 EUR, Portugal: 39.500 - 51.000 EUR.
Work Mode
This is a remote position open to candidates based and eligible to work within Europe.
