Responsibilities
- Develop and execute marketing strategy and direction by translating company goals and the needs of the CEO, Sales, and Product into a prioritized marketing strategy and quarterly plans with measurable objectives, ensuring each initiative contributes to pipeline growth and customer expansion.
- Own demand generation and inbound pipeline by managing the marketing levers that influence it, collaborating with the Growth Marketing Manager to analyze performance, identify opportunities, test new approaches, and reallocate effort and spend toward effective tactics, connecting marketing activities to pipeline quality and commercial outcomes.
- Lead product marketing by working closely with Product, Sales, Customer Success, Solutions, and customers to understand new capabilities, develop differentiated messaging, and bring new products and features to market, creating sales enablement materials, competitive positioning, customer stories, and launch plans that support the Commercial team, actively driving the launch process and ensuring product work is recognized.
- Gather customer and market insight by staying close to customers, prospects, competitors, and the logistics technology market, using customer conversations, sales feedback, win/loss insights, and market research to identify opportunities for sharper positioning, better content, stronger campaigns, and new go-to-market initiatives.
- Manage event marketing by deciding which events to attend or sponsor each quarter, handling organizer outreach and logistics, and ensuring the company appears where buyers are present.
- Provide cross-functional leadership by partnering with the CEO, Product, Sales, Customer Success, and Solutions to align marketing with business priorities, proactively identifying opportunities for launches, campaigns, and market education, navigating pressure from multiple stakeholders, prioritizing effectively, communicating trade-offs clearly, and ensuring marketing delivers the highest business impact.
- Lead and mentor a lean team of two marketers by setting clear priorities, coaching team members, providing regular feedback, raising the quality bar across marketing, and creating an environment that fosters growth while maintaining high execution standards.
- Make data-driven decisions by owning the inbound pipeline and every lever within it, measuring what matters, finding the right insights, and reallocating spend and effort to what is working, with reporting that makes trade-offs obvious.
