Responsibilities
- Oversees the site's safety program, prioritizing incident prevention and conducting regular safety audits to foster a safe work culture.
- Maintains visible presence on the production floor to reinforce zero-incident goals and adherence to environmental, health, and safety standards.
- Coordinates daily team assignments and delegates tasks effectively to align with production timelines.
- Ensures all team members receive proper job-specific training according to established standards.
- Promotes team engagement through regular one-on-one meetings, performance evaluations, development planning, and follow-up on employee survey actions.
- Approves weekly time and attendance records accurately and on schedule to ensure correct employee payroll processing.
- Communicates key information clearly and consistently to the team to ensure alignment and awareness.
- Serves as a mentor and advisor to team members and provides training and guidance to less experienced colleagues.
- Capable of supervising personnel who support production operations.
- Coordinates shift activities efficiently to meet production goals and timelines.
- Facilitates seamless shift handovers by communicating critical updates to the incoming supervisor for safe and continuous operations.
- Ensures adherence to regulations set by relevant governing bodies.
- Implements a proactive compliance system including routine material verification, line clearance checks, and random audits.
- Manages compliance issues that arise during the shift, particularly those affecting batch completion.
- Manages overall cycle time and actively identifies opportunities for optimization.
- Oversees changeover durations and drives efforts to reduce downtime through continuous improvement.
- Leads or oversees process enhancement projects to improve efficiency and output.
- Understands site performance metrics and supports initiatives to meet or exceed targets.
- Supports the growth of direct reports by arranging training and progressively challenging assignments.
- Ensures all staff, especially high-potential individuals, have active development plans and access to growth opportunities.
- Demonstrates commitment to personal growth by maintaining a learning mindset and seeking self-improvement.
- Champions process improvement efforts across the department.
- Gathers improvement suggestions from team members and submits them to appropriate channels to enhance safety, quality, productivity, and culture.
