Responsibilities
- Interpret control system designs and implement configurations or code aligned with functional specifications using IT and OT methodologies.
- Deliver frontline technical support for MES IT systems to engineering, maintenance, production, and operations teams on automation issues as needed.
- Train personnel on automation technologies and process control software used in IT systems.
- Identify and resolve problems in control system hardware, software, and network infrastructure to maintain automation system reliability.
- Carry out upgrades and manage data transfers for site IT systems including PLCs, SCADA, and Data Historian platforms.
- Create and execute validation documentation such as functional and design specifications, adhering to IT system lifecycle requirements.
- Conduct routine administration and maintenance of IT systems, including OS updates, antivirus management, user access control, and data backup procedures.
- Assess existing control systems and recommend enhancements; implement monitoring and reporting methods to improve equipment performance in IT environments.
