Responsibilities
- Select and package diverse printed items using multiple packing methods
- Follow precise instructions for consistent packing tasks
- Prepare completed products for shipment by placing them in boxes or containers
- Use computers and warehouse software systems effectively
- Complete tasks such as labeling packages, inserting manuals into binders, and preparing boxes for final delivery
- Verify shipping details are correct and dispatch packages on schedule
- Organize, label, seal, and tag items in bundles, on pallets, or within containers and storage units
- Maintain required levels of productivity and quality
- Recognize problems and escalate to supervisors or management for resolution
- Support ongoing training for staff and temporary workers
- Count and categorize different product components
- Handle in-process materials such as printed sheets, folded sections, or labels by feeding, removing, flexing, jogging, or stacking as needed
- Manually load and unload materials onto pallets, trays, racks, or shelves
- Load transport vehicles and secure cargo with strapping, bracing, or padding using hand tools to prevent damage
- Transport materials between storage or work areas using hand trucks, electric dollies, or similar equipment
- Occasionally operate industrial trucks or electric hoists to move heavy loads
- Support special assignments or handle intricate customer orders when required
- Help uphold warehouse safety and security protocols
- Carry out additional assigned tasks as needed
