Responsibilities
- Perform thorough oral exams and evaluations to identify dental issues
- Create and execute customized treatment plans for each patient
- Carry out various dental procedures such as fillings, cleanings, extractions, and root canals
- Instruct patients on effective oral hygiene methods and care after treatment
- Write prescriptions for patients when necessary
- Keep precise and private patient records, including X-rays and treatment histories
- Send patients to specialists like orthodontists or oral surgeons for advanced care
- Verify that all activities adhere to safety, OSHA, and infection control regulations
