Ramboll is hiring a Managing Consultant – Risk and Technical Safety

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the principal technical authority for risk and safety-related assignments.
  • Lead the execution of technical evaluations including quantitative risk analyses, consequence simulations, fire and explosion hazard assessments, toxic dispersion studies, hazardous zone delineation, process hazard reviews, HAZID and HAZOP workshops, emergency planning analyses, and compliance audits.
  • Establish project-specific technical frameworks, including selection of methods, assumptions, and evaluation criteria.
  • Evaluate engineering data, process specifications, equipment details, and operational parameters to verify their adequacy for technical analysis.
  • Ensure all modelling inputs, computational methods, and resulting conclusions are technically sound and thoroughly documented.
  • Translate analytical findings into actionable, risk-informed guidance for decision-making.
  • Offer expert consultation on technical safety, process safety, and risk mitigation strategies to clients and project teams.
  • Ensure all work complies with relevant laws, industry standards, best practices, and regulatory expectations.
  • Conduct technical validation and quality checks on reports, models, calculations, and other outputs.
  • Identify knowledge gaps, assumptions, and limitations in analyses and ensure proper handling or disclosure.
  • Oversee projects from initiation through to completion, ensuring alignment with objectives.
  • Develop detailed project plans, including schedules, resource allocation, and execution strategies.
  • Define and control project scope, deliverables, assumptions, exclusions, and interdependencies.
  • Lead and assign tasks to project team members based on expertise, availability, and technical needs.
  • Track project performance against budget, timeline, and resource plans.
  • Anticipate and address project risks, bottlenecks, and scheduling challenges with corrective measures.
  • Manage scope changes and ensure additional work is formally documented and approved.
  • Coordinate contributions from internal experts, external contractors, and stakeholders.
  • Maintain consistent and timely communication with clients throughout project phases.
  • Lead technical meetings, progress reviews, and client-facing presentations.
  • Ensure all project records are accurate, complete, and maintained per organizational standards.
  • Support invoicing processes by tracking deliverables and project milestones.
  • Deliver projects within agreed quality, safety, schedule, and cost parameters.
  • Act as the main technical and project liaison for designated clients.
  • Gain a thorough understanding of client goals, operational realities, and project success criteria.
