CVS Health is looking for a Manager, Strategic Initiatives to lead technology-focused projects that create efficiencies for Prior Authorization and clinical program operations, delivering better customer experiences. You will translate ideas into action and drive key initiatives from concept to successful execution and measurable value.
What You'll Do
- Lead the development and execution of strategic initiatives within Clinical Operations that support and optimize prior authorization operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define project scope, and develop detailed project plans.
- Utilize a systems thinking approach to identify and analyze processes, workflows, and technology needs to improve operational efficiency.
- Define and prioritize product features and enhancements based on stakeholder feedback and business objectives.
- Create and manage project timelines, ensuring timely delivery of key milestones and deliverables.
- Monitor project progress and performance metrics, adjusting as necessary to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for enhancement and maximum value.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, providing updates on project status and outcomes.
- Stay up on top of industry trends and best practices related to prior authorization and healthcare operations.
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of proven experience as a Product Manager or in a similar role, preferably in healthcare operations.
- Bachelor's degree, specialized training, or a relevant professional qualification.
Nice to Have
- 1+ year of knowledge of pharmacy prior authorization process and workflows.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically and execute tactically, with a focus on delivering measurable results.
- Excellent project management skills, including proficiency in creating and managing project plans.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to apply systems thinking in complex problems.
- Experience in collaborating with data science teams to integrate AI solutions into existing operational workflows.
- Ability to leverage AI tools and technologies to enhance prior authorization processes.
- Strong technical acumen with a solid understanding of pharmacy prior authorization.
- Familiarity with CVS Caremark’s PA Products – CAS, Medhok, Novologix, and CRxM.
Team & Environment
Works closely with PA Operations, Information Technology (IT) Development, IT Support, Process Innovation, Product, Finance, HR, Regulatory Affairs, Legal, Analytics & Behavior Change (A&BC), and other partners.
