Responsibilities
- Provide both technical leadership and people management, maintaining active involvement in the codebase to inform architectural direction and support engineering growth.
- Develop innovative solutions for frontend platform complexities through collaboration with product, design, marketing, and other cross-functional teams.
- Remain actively engaged in coding and system design to guide architecture, review mobile development work, and steer technology choices across React Native, iOS, Android, and CI/CD tooling.
- Recruit, lead, coach, and support skilled engineers, fostering their career development and technical excellence.
- Partner with business and engineering leaders to define the strategic roadmap, vision, and objectives for the mobile platform.
- Engage with senior engineers to shape scalable mobile architecture, refine engineering practices, and address technical debt systematically.
- Clearly communicate the rationale behind current and future priorities to team members and stakeholders.
- Identify and eliminate obstacles that hinder team progress, whether technical or organizational.
- Serve as a two-way conduit between the engineering team and broader leadership, ensuring transparent communication and alignment.
- Advocate for initiatives introduced by peers, managers, and executives across the organization.
- Jointly own and monitor key metrics related to platform stability and developer efficiency, using data to guide investment in tooling, tech debt, and productivity improvements.
- Coordinate with peer engineering managers to balance platform-wide needs with squad-specific feature delivery.
- Design and implement workflows that enhance the transition from design to development, working closely with product and design on reusable UI components.
