Responsibilities
- Promote and maintain a strong safety culture, ensuring all training aligns with company and regulatory standards
- Lead, manage, and develop a team of trainers and facilitators, including hiring, coaching, and performance management
- Develop and execute a strategic training plan aligned with organizational goals and workforce needs
- Partner with operations, field leadership, and subject matter experts to identify skills gaps and prioritize training initiatives
- Design, update, and deliver training materials including manuals, presentations, and hands-on learning experiences
- Facilitate training sessions, workshops, and seminars in both in-person and virtual environments
- Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, feedback, and performance metrics, adjusting programs as needed
- Coordinate with external training partners, industry organizations, and educational institutions
- Manage training budgets, scheduling, and resources to ensure efficient and cost-effective program delivery
- Mentor and coach trainers to ensure consistent, high-quality instruction and engagement
- Stay current on construction techniques, technologies, and regulatory requirements to maintain program relevance
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 7–10+ years of relevant experience in training, construction, or workforce development
- Proven experience designing and delivering technical training programs
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
Nice to Have
- Experience with Michels Power, Inc. or similar contractor
- Strong knowledge of construction, power delivery, or electrical infrastructure industries
- Experience supporting field-based or craft workforce training programs
