About the Role
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Know Your Business function, managing a team responsible for verifying and monitoring business entities. Ensure processes are scalable, compliant, and aligned with global regulatory expectations.
Responsibilities
- Supervise the execution of KYB verification procedures for business clients
- Manage a team handling onboarding and ongoing due diligence
- Develop and refine operational workflows to improve efficiency
- Ensure adherence to anti-financial crime standards
- Collaborate with compliance, legal, and risk departments
- Monitor performance metrics and service level agreements
- Identify and implement process automation opportunities
- Maintain documentation for audit and regulatory purposes
- Respond to internal and external audit findings
- Stay current with regulatory changes affecting KYB practices
- Support investigations related to business entity risk
- Escalate complex cases to senior compliance staff
- Train team members on policy updates and tools
- Drive consistency in decision-making across the team
- Evaluate third-party vendor performance in KYB workflows
- Coordinate with product teams on system enhancements
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity in verification systems
- Manage escalations from customer support teams
- Support the development of risk-based KYB frameworks
- Oversee periodic reviews of business customer files
- Facilitate cross-border compliance coordination
- Contribute to incident response planning
- Promote a culture of compliance and accountability
