Manage end-to-end payroll delivery across diverse Latin American markets, including Mexico, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, and Central America. Ensure precise execution of payroll cycles in alignment with global standards and local legal requirements, overseeing everything from data validation to final disbursement.

Compliance & Regulatory Oversight

Stay ahead of evolving labor, tax, and social security regulations—including IMSS, INFONAVIT, FGTS, AFP, and ISR. Lead timely implementation of changes, manage statutory filings, and ensure full adherence to year-end reporting and audit controls. Maintain rigorous documentation for SOX and internal audits.

Operational Leadership

  • Supervise gross-to-net calculations and validate payroll outcomes across complex scenarios such as variable pay, profit sharing (PTU), statutory bonuses (Aguinaldo), expatriate assignments, and terminations
  • Coordinate funding and payment timelines with Treasury and third-party vendors
  • Drive process standardization and automation initiatives to reduce manual effort and improve data integrity
  • Lead payroll implementations, vendor transitions, and integration efforts during acquisitions

Team Development & Collaboration

Direct and mentor regional payroll analysts or administrators. Deliver training on updated compliance requirements and payroll procedures. Build strong partnerships with HR, Finance, Tax, and global payroll leadership to align regional execution with corporate strategy.

Performance & Continuous Improvement

Define KPIs to measure regional performance, promote accountability, and guide improvement efforts. Foster a culture rooted in precision, collaboration, and independent problem-solving across multicultural teams.

Requirements

Hold a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, with 7–10+ years of multi-country LATAM payroll experience. Demonstrate deep knowledge of regional labor laws and tax systems, proficiency with Workday or ADP, and strong experience in SOX and audit environments. Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is required; Portuguese is a plus. Must be able to travel internationally as needed.
