Responsibilities

• Help document and keep updated internal control procedures, policies, and standard operating protocols
• Conduct testing of controls to detect weaknesses and suggest enhancements for a stronger control framework
• Work with process owners to ensure controls are applied effectively and consistently
• Use FloQast to oversee control compliance, manage reconciliation tracking, and verify timely reviews
• Track compliance with internal policies and control requirements across the organization
• Prepare and examine account reconciliations and journal entries for accuracy and adherence to controls
• Support activities during monthly and annual financial closing cycles
• Ensure financial transactions follow applicable accounting standards
• Help create reports summarizing control activities and compliance performance
• Assist in internal and external audits by compiling and organizing necessary documentation
• Help track audit findings and contribute to corrective action plans
• Ensure prompt and accurate responses to audit inquiries
• Take part in assessing risks within financial processes
• Identify ways to increase efficiency and reinforce internal controls
• Support efforts to improve processes and implement automation
• Provide input on governance aspects when systems or processes are modified
• Collaborate with Finance, IT, and Operations teams on control-related projects
• Communicate clearly with stakeholders about control expectations and procedures
• Lead training programs to increase understanding and use of internal controls and governance standards
