City of New York - Department of Consumer and Worker Protection (DCWP) is hiring a Manager for Translational Epidemiology, World Trade Center Health Registry

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage integrated data workflows from multiple sources, ensuring data harmonization and real-time processing within a secure, layered surveillance framework.
  • Use sophisticated statistical models, machine learning techniques, and anomaly detection to detect new health trends and project risk patterns for timely public health responses.
  • Lead quality assurance for linking registry data with external administrative and clinical databases, including electronic health records, CMS, NY SPARCS, and the WTC Health Program.
  • Manage daily operations and administrative functions of the Translational Epidemiology subunit, including tracking grant milestones and monitoring intervention activities within the registry.
  • Supervise research personnel, including interns and fellows, as needed.
