About the Role
This role is responsible for managing employee relations cases, administering leave programs, and providing guidance to employees and managers on workplace policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Lead investigations into employee relations matters with fairness and confidentiality
- Interpret and apply company policies and employment regulations consistently
- Manage the administration of leave programs including FMLA, disability, and other absences
- Serve as a resource for managers handling performance or conduct issues
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws
- Document employee relations cases and maintain accurate case files
- Provide coaching to employees and supervisors on conflict resolution
- Support disciplinary actions when necessary, following due process
- Collaborate with HR colleagues to identify trends in employee concerns
- Develop recommendations to reduce workplace conflicts and improve morale
- Assist in updating employee handbooks and policy documents
- Respond to employee inquiries about rights and workplace standards
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment law changes
- Promote a respectful and inclusive work environment
- Escalate complex cases to senior HR or legal teams as needed
