Responsibilities
- Lead and optimize team performance for professionals in data engineering, analysis, science, and governance, balancing delivery speed, quality, and business impact.
- Oversee end-to-end execution of data projects, including planning, resource planning, requirements, development, testing, and deployment.
- Manage a structured intake process to prioritize data requests, deliver rapid insights, and align with long-term strategic initiatives.
- Communicate strategic goals, project roadmaps, trade-offs, progress updates, risks, and outcomes to stakeholders at all levels.
- Foster cross-functional partnerships across departments and leadership to turn business strategy into measurable analytics use cases and promote data-driven culture.
- Ensure high standards of data quality and consistency for member and operational data in the enterprise data warehouse, aligned with regulatory, financial, and customer experience needs.
- Investigate and resolve data discrepancies by working with business teams to identify root causes, define solutions, and implement preventive measures.
- Lead the design, refinement, and automation of data models, warehouses, and ETL pipelines to improve reporting, forecasting, and KPI tracking for business performance.
- Work closely with the Data Governance Program Manager to advance governance initiatives such as data ownership, metadata standards, and usability controls.
- Ensure high performance, security, and availability of critical data platforms and systems.
- Collaborate with IT and Security teams to implement strong data controls, monitoring protocols, and incident response measures.
- Guide the creation and upkeep of scalable business intelligence systems that support self-service analytics and reusable data assets.
- Drive strategic analytics projects by converting business challenges into data solutions, with success metrics tied to member growth, efficiency, risk, and revenue.
- Track and integrate emerging technologies, including AI advancements, to keep data capabilities innovative and aligned with future business demands.
