Responsibilities
- Apply in-depth understanding of international and national standards including ASTM, EN, ISO, and IS.
- Lead initial project meetings and pre-inspection discussions with clients and suppliers.
- Coordinate with ASME Authorized Inspectors, third-party agencies, and clients for inspection and certification tasks.
- Develop, examine, and secure approvals for Inspection and Test Plans, Quality Assurance Plans, Weld Maps, and WPS/PQR documentation for pressure vessels, stacks, and structural parts.
- Evaluate engineering drawings for material specs, design parameters, heat treatment needs, and confirm latest revisions are used for BOM and procurement.
- Create Technical Delivery Conditions consistent with BOMs, standards, and client requirements.
- Assess project specifications from EIL, IBR, ASME, TPIA, consultants, and clients to ensure full compliance in materials, procedures, and documentation.
- Develop and authorize QC procedures for non-destructive examination, hydrotesting, PWHT, PMI, ferrite testing, painting inspections, and QMS functions.
- Create, evaluate, and revise standard operating procedures and quality management system documentation as needed.
- Oversee raw material inspections at supplier sites, coordinate with third-party inspectors, review reports, validate material test certificates, issue Inspection Release Notes, and approve dispatch.
- Administer the Non-Conformance Report system, including creation, assessment, root cause investigation, corrective actions, and recording of lessons learned.
- Examine customer complaints and feedback, conduct root cause analysis, and apply corrective solutions.
- Carry out inspections throughout all project phases—raw materials, in-process stages, PWHT, hydrotesting, final visual and dimensional checks, and painting—per approved ITPs.
- Keep detailed quality records such as inspection reports, test outcomes, certifications, and photographic documentation.
- Analyze quality problems, detect patterns and root causes, and execute long-term improvement initiatives.
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to meet project quality targets.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with internal departments, clients, consultants, and external parties.
