Responsibilities
- Identify, nurture, and engage alumni, parents, and supporters who can contribute gifts of $50,000 or more, aligned with institutional fundraising objectives.
- Manage a portfolio of 125 to 175 major gift prospects, conducting 100 to 110 in-depth donor meetings each year to progress relationships and gift conversations.
- Foster enduring philanthropic relationships by connecting donors to the institution’s mission, in coordination with academic and administrative leaders, volunteers, and trustees.
- Partner across advancement functions—including major giving, annual giving, planned giving, donor stewardship, communications, research, and alumni relations—to create a unified donor engagement strategy.
- Create and implement annual strategies for portfolio management, including personalized outreach plans, activity benchmarks, revenue forecasts, and regular reporting to senior leadership.
- Ensure accurate, detailed, and up-to-date records of donor interactions, strategies, and follow-up actions in the institution’s CRM system, Raiser’s Edge NXT.
- Use data analytics, research, and prospecting tools to guide outreach priorities and improve portfolio performance.
- Work with senior advancement leaders to shape strategies that deliver a consistent and strategic donor journey across all engagement phases.
- Support a high-performing advancement culture through effective prospect management, team collaboration, and continuous process improvement.

- The advancement team follows a hybrid schedule with three days per week in the office and two remote, based on a set rotation to maintain consistent office coverage.
- In-office days may be adjusted as needed to accommodate donor events and visits, ensuring effective preparation and participation.
