Responsibilities
- Organizes daily maintenance activities and assigns tasks based on operational needs.
- Reviews and evaluates all maintenance requests to determine scope and urgency.
- Creates detailed job plans for work orders and manages backlog to ensure timely execution.
- Sets priorities for corrective and project-based work orders to align with planning and scheduling goals.
- Identifies required materials, specialized tools, and equipment to optimize technician productivity.
- Estimates costs for each work order, including labor, materials, and total expenses.
- Prepares complete job packages with equipment details and clear instructions for each shift’s tasks.
- Plans maintenance assignments, forecasts resource needs, and schedules planned work accordingly.
- Anticipates future maintenance requirements and manages the Preventative Maintenance program.
- Collaborates with engineering teams to support equipment reliability and mechanical integrity initiatives.
- Supervises preventative and predictive maintenance programs across the facility.
- Determines planning scope and scheduling strategy based on resource availability, task criticality, and maintenance windows.
- Tracks key performance indicators to assess and enhance maintenance effectiveness and equipment reliability.
- Supports planning and scheduling for major plant outages, projects, and equipment rebuilds.
- Manages parts inventory levels and ensures timely restocking.
- Handles procurement, receipt, and proper storage of machine parts for production areas.
- Conducts accurate cycle counts to ensure inventory records are up to date.
- Maintains and replenishes consumable supplies for the maintenance department as needed.
- Oversees disposal and tracking of recyclable materials including batteries, bulbs, gas cylinders, and electronics.
- Evaluates parts and service bids to confirm cost efficiency, in coordination with Planning and Purchasing Supervisor as needed.
- Performs additional duties as assigned by management.
