Responsibilities
- Install, service, and repair production machinery and facility systems.
- Respond to urgent equipment failures during operations and conduct scheduled maintenance during downtime.
- Carry out basic machining tasks as needed.
- Apply mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic expertise to troubleshoot and fix equipment issues.
- Interpret technical manuals and work orders to complete maintenance procedures.
- Identify equipment malfunctions, replace or repair components, and perform testing and adjustments.
- Conduct routine preventive maintenance on machinery, equipment, and building systems.
- Perform plumbing and carpentry maintenance as required.
- Operate hand and power tools, electrical measuring devices, and material handling equipment.
- Recognize and report defective materials, malfunctioning equipment, or abnormal conditions to supervisors.
- Follow all safety protocols and keep workspaces clean and organized.
- Complete assigned tasks under the direction of the Maintenance Manager or Supervisor.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Prior maintenance experience or completion of a technical program in a related field, or a combination of education and hands-on experience.
- Ability to understand written instructions, brief correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write basic work-related messages.
- Proficiency in performing arithmetic operations with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals using standard units of measure.
- Skill in calculating rates, ratios, percentages, and interpreting bar graphs.
- Capacity to follow multi-step instructions provided in written, verbal, or diagram form.
- Ability to solve problems involving concrete variables in routine situations.
