University of St. Thomas is hiring a Maintenance Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs of mechanical equipment and systems throughout the university's properties.
  • Mechanical Maintenance Engineer III: Operate, maintain, repair, and conduct water treatment testing of all steam boilers, hydronic boilers, centrifugal chillers, cooling towers, and closed loop systems.
  • Mechanical Maintenance Engineer III: Operate, maintain, and repair air handler units, exhaust fans, air conditioning units, humidifiers, dehumidifiers, and refrigeration units, both commercial and residential.
  • Mechanical Maintenance Engineer III: Operate, maintain, and repair pumping systems associated with heating, cooling, and plumbing systems.
  • Mechanical Maintenance Engineer III: Operate, maintain, and repair swimming pools, whirlpool spas, their water treatment, and associated pumping systems.
  • Mechanical Maintenance Engineer III: Perform plumbing repairs and maintenance of drains, sinks, faucets, showers, toilets, flush valves, floor drains, water heaters, water softeners, and any auxiliary plumbing systems.
  • Mechanical Maintenance Engineer III: Perform commercial and residential appliance repairs of refrigerators, stoves, ovens, ranges, dishwashers, clothes washers, and clothes dryers.
  • Mechanical Maintenance Engineer III: Maintain and repair residential style forced air furnaces, hydronic boilers, air conditioners, and their auxiliary systems.
  • Mechanical Maintenance Engineer III: Operate, maintain, and repair pneumatic air compressors, vacuum systems, air dryers, and their auxiliary systems.
  • Mechanical Maintenance Engineer III: Operate, maintain, and repair pneumatic control systems as related to temperature control of mechanical equipment and systems.
  • Mechanical Maintenance Engineer III: Operate the computerized Energy Management System (EMS) where it applies to temperature control of mechanical equipment and systems.
  • Mechanical Maintenance Engineer II: Operate, maintain, repair, and conduct water treatment testing of steam boilers, hydronic boilers, centrifugal chillers, cooling towers, and closed loop systems, limited to individual licensing and experience.
  • Mechanical Maintenance Engineer II: Perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs of air handler units, exhaust fans, air conditioning units, humidifiers, dehumidifiers, and refrigeration units, both commercial and residential.
  • Mechanical Maintenance Engineer II: Perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs of pumping systems associated with heating, cooling, and plumbing systems.
  • Mechanical Maintenance Engineer II: Perform preventive maintenance of swimming pools, whirlpool spas, their water treatment, and associated pumping systems.
  • Mechanical Maintenance Engineer II: Perform plumbing repairs and maintenance of drains, sinks, faucets, showers, toilets, flush valves, and floor drains.
  • Mechanical Maintenance Engineer II: Perform preventive maintenance and minor repair of residential style forced air furnaces, hydronic boilers, air conditioners, and their auxiliary systems.
  • Mechanical Maintenance Engineer II: Operate the computerized Energy Management System (EMS).

Team

  • Potential Shift Options (Based on Seniority): Monday - Friday 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM, Monday - Friday 1:30 PM - 10:00 PM, Tuesday - Saturday 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
