Responsibilities
- Supervise the creation and production of experimental components using manual and computer-controlled lathes, milling machines, drill presses, band saws, and table saws.
- Consult with faculty, researchers, students, and staff to support the design and manufacturing of parts required for research and academic projects.
- Handle daily operational tasks and administrative functions within the machine shop.
- Enforce safe use of machinery in alignment with manufacturer guidelines and institutional safety policies.
- Maintain equipment in proper working condition through routine inspections and servicing.
- Provide guidance on project planning, including design input, cost projections, purchasing needs, and timelines, in coordination with academic staff.
Compensation
USD $76,500.00 to USD $85,000.00 annually

- In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $76,500.00 to USD $85,000.00.
