Medline Industries is hiring a Machine Operator I - Refurbishing for the day shift. You will be responsible for inspecting, marking, testing, and refurbishing invasive medical devices, bringing them back to original or better-than-original condition while ensuring strict compliance with FDA guidelines and standard operating procedures.

What You'll Do

Receive containers of devices from the Identification department and distribute them to the appropriate workstation.
Use tools and processes like glass bead blasting, hand sharpening, machine sharpening, drilling, adhesives, and insulating to restore medical devices.
Mark devices as reprocessed for tracking and use microscopes to inspect device condition.
Verify all reprocessed devices meet acceptable function standards through detailed inspection.
Confirm device accuracy against orders and record work on the order record (PCR).
Verify devices sent to the next production area match computer and paper records, signing off documents accurately.
Assist other departments as needed to meet production goals.

What We're Looking For

Ability to communicate in basic English with management and co-workers (speak and basic reading ability required).
Able to sit or stand for 10-hour shifts with appropriate meal and rest breaks.
Able to work in a room with washing machines, dryers, racks, and tables, with limited room for movement.
Able to work in a room with a continuous moderate to high level of noise.
Able to lift, push, or pull batches of devices averaging 50 lbs up to 50 times per day.
Able to perform repetitive tasks, including small motions, through the entire shift.
Must be focused and detail-oriented to identify product discrepancies or flaws and take appropriate action.

Nice to Have

High School Diploma or GED.
Any prior work experience in a manufacturing role.
