Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of Machine Learning experts through consistent one-on-one meetings, constructive feedback, and personalized development strategies.
- Guide the Fraud domain in prioritizing machine learning initiatives that balance customer safety, compliance demands, operational efficiency, and speed of delivery.
- Collaborate with product managers, risk analysts, engineering leads, data leads, and senior ML professionals to define strategic roadmaps, resolve blockers, and make informed decisions.
- Establish robust practices for model development, deployment, monitoring, governance, documentation, and ownership throughout the full model lifecycle.
- Maintain high standards for machine learning quality in fraud detection, emphasizing performance, interpretability, reproducibility, monitoring, and secure production operations.
- Ensure machine learning systems are sustainably owned, actively maintained, and iteratively enhanced rather than treated as temporary projects.
- Foster a team environment rooted in mutual feedback, continuous learning, and effective collaboration with cross-functional partners.
- Support the broader ML and data community through hiring, refining workflows, and sharing best practices that improve velocity and safety across teams.
