Bloom & Wild Group is hiring a Machine Learning Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Play a key role in building, implementing, and maintaining high-performance, low-latency ML services for ranking, recommendations, and forecasting.
  • Work with data scientists, product managers, and other teams to develop effective solutions for product and infrastructure challenges.
  • Design and conduct experiments to validate ideas and improve models.
  • Provide guidance on data strategies to support future data science initiatives.
  • Develop ML models that meet engineering standards, ensuring resilience, scalability, and future-proofing.
  • Improve the AWS-native MLOps platform to ensure high availability and low-latency model inference.
  • Bring enthusiasm and a positive attitude, seeking opportunities to learn and align with company values.

Requirements

  • Strong foundation in traditional ML techniques and the model lifecycle, with practical experience in handling class imbalance, tuning hyperparameters, and avoiding overfitting.
  • Proven experience in designing, deploying, and monitoring ML services to address customer and business needs.
  • Excellent Python programming skills for delivering well-structured, documented, and production-ready code.
  • Experience with large datasets and proficiency in SQL, with additional exposure to Snowflake and dbt being beneficial.
  • Curiosity about customer needs and a pragmatic, data-driven approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to thrive in collaborative environments and work effectively with diverse teams.
  • Positive and optimistic mindset, with the ability to overcome setbacks and motivate others.
  • Eagerness to learn and stay current with the latest technologies, and a willingness to share knowledge with peers.
