Responsibilities
- Remotely and on-site operate a highly automated server lab featuring cutting-edge server and networking hardware from top vendors, ensuring continuous availability for internal teams.
- Keep precise records of hardware inventory and physical layout within the data centre environment.
- Handle receiving, setting up, and configuring new hardware components upon arrival.
- Test and validate MAAS features by integrating with scheduling and testing platforms like Testflinger.
- Document technical issues and support root cause analysis and resolution efforts.
- Apply Python programming expertise to streamline and improve data centre automation processes.
- Enhance monitoring capabilities for hardware and network systems through automated solutions.
- Work closely with MAAS developers, hardware certification teams, kernel specialists, and other groups relying on the lab infrastructure.
