Responsibilities
- Evaluate potential acquisition opportunities aligned with Deel’s strategic objectives
- Build and maintain financial models to assess transaction economics and investment returns
- Perform company valuation analysis including DCF, comparable company analysis, precedent transactions, and football field valuations
- Support due diligence processes including financial, operational, regulatory, tax, and legal analysis
- Analyze target company financial statements, revenue models, and cost structures
- Prepare internal investment materials, financial analyses, and decision-support presentations for leadership
- Assess cross-border tax structures, payments infrastructure, regulatory licensing requirements, and legal entity implications of potential acquisitions
- Coordinate closely with Finance, Tax, Legal, Compliance, Payments, and Product teams during transaction evaluation
- Support negotiation and structuring of acquisition transactions in collaboration with internal and external advisors
- Develop integration plans for acquired businesses across financial reporting, systems, and operational processes
- Align acquired entities with Deel’s accounting policies, financial reporting standards, and internal controls
- Support integration of financial systems, ERP structures, and reporting processes
- Monitor post-acquisition integration progress and identify operational or financial risks
- Identify process improvements and operational synergies following acquisitions
- Maintain documentation and analysis supporting strategic transaction decisions
Requirements
- 4–7 years of experience in M&A, corporate development, investment banking, or transaction advisory
- Strong financial modeling and valuation experience
- Experience building DCF models, multiples analysis, precedent transaction analysis, and football field valuations
- Understanding of cross-border tax considerations, payments infrastructure, and regulatory frameworks
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to manage complex cross-functional projects
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Nice to Have
- Legal and tax background is preferred; CPA qualification is a strong advantage
