About the Role
Conduct detailed linguistic testing to identify and report language-related issues in video games, focusing on grammar, spelling, punctuation, tone, and cultural relevance within the Simplified Chinese language context.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate in-game text for linguistic accuracy and consistency
- Identify translation errors, typos, and grammatical mistakes
- Assess tone and style alignment with target audience expectations
- Verify proper implementation of localized text within game interfaces
- Report bugs using standardized tracking systems
- Provide context-specific feedback for ambiguous or incorrect translations
- Ensure cultural appropriateness of localized content
- Test strings across multiple game platforms and devices
- Follow test plans and execute test cases efficiently
- Meet deadlines for assigned testing cycles
- Communicate findings clearly and concisely
- Review updates and patches for linguistic integrity
- Collaborate with project leads on issue resolution
- Maintain confidentiality of unreleased game content
- Adapt to evolving project requirements and priorities
