Responsibilities
- Identify spelling, grammatical, punctuation, and other language-related issues in Brazilian Portuguese game content.
- Verify that in-game terminology aligns with the developer's localization standards.
- Ensure formatting and notation comply with game console manufacturer requirements.
- Evaluate translation quality in context with the game’s storyline and scenes.
- Log identified issues clearly and succinctly in the bug tracking system.
- Propose improved translation alternatives when appropriate.
- Confirm that reported issues are properly resolved in subsequent builds.
- Iterate through testing, reporting, and verification processes until final product release.
Requirements
- Native-level proficiency in Brazilian Portuguese
- Fluency in either Japanese or English
- Familiarity with Brazilian cultural context
- Strong attention to detail
- Regular experience playing video games
- Basic computer skills including Word and Excel
- Must currently reside in Japan with a valid work visa
Nice to Have
- Prior experience in quality assurance or testing roles
- Interest in Japanese pop culture, including anime, manga, and video games
