Responsibilities

- Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical and electrical failures
- Support field teams during equipment overhauls and inspections
- Ensure maintenance practices meet safety and regulatory standards
- Collaborate with engineering teams to implement design improvements
- Conduct root cause analyses on equipment failures
- Prepare technical reports and documentation
- Train maintenance personnel on updated procedures and systems
- Assist in the development of maintenance manuals and service bulletins
- Evaluate performance of locomotive components and subsystems
- Recommend corrective actions to prevent recurring issues
- Participate in incident investigations related to equipment malfunction
- Provide on-call support for urgent field problems
- Review and interpret technical schematics and blueprints
- Ensure proper use of diagnostic tools and test equipment
- Monitor equipment reliability metrics and suggest improvements
- Support warranty claim evaluations with technical data
- Coordinate with suppliers for component performance feedback
- Assist in planning maintenance schedules and resource allocation
- Verify compliance with environmental and safety regulations
