Responsibilities
- Support the running of all assigned projects.
- Prepares equipment, documentation for project start.
- Creates progress projections based on approved schedule and raise resourcing concerns.
- Ensuring translation projects run as scheduled in according to instructions provided by Project Managers while achieving the highest possible level of quality.
- Ensure that the translated text is amended according to client feedback as deemed necessary by the Project Managers.
- Prioritize tasks effectively
- Communicated with client on operational problems in real time, actively proposing solutions where available.
- Ensure that the attendance of the assigned staff is accounted for and the correct documentation and files are kept up to date.
- Provide support to direct reports to ensure their working conditions are adequate and liaise with other departments to ensure capacity plans are in place.
- Provide feedback on performance of the staff as required by Management
Requirements
- Experience in localization, localization QA or software QA
- Business level English and Japanese
- Excellent knowledge of business software applications (e.g. Microsoft Office)
- Knowledge of CAT tools (memoQ is a plus)
- Clear and effective English communication skills (verbal and written)
- Demonstrates proactivity
- Ability to develop new ways to improve operations and to create opportunities
- Good organisation and problem-solving skills
- Keeps a “can do” attitude and positive thinking
Nice to Have
- Experience in the video games or media entertainment industry is preferred

Structure: Localization department; reports to Project Managers and Management
