Canonical is hiring a Linux Enablement - Software Engineering Manager

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, inspire, and guide engineers to consistently deliver robust and reliable software solutions
  • Define team objectives, manage task prioritization, and track key indicators of team performance and well-being
  • Optimize individual contributions while fostering professional development and advancement
  • Align with project managers, hardware engineering, quality assurance, and certification leads
  • Oversee initiatives from initiation through completion, including post-project reviews and issue escalation management
  • Engage with OEMs, ODMs, SiPs, and IHVs to identify, clarify, and solve complex technical issues
  • Evaluate and prioritize customer-driven requirements across global markets
  • Work closely with engineering groups in Desktop, Foundations, Kernel, and Security domains
  • Establish and promote best practices, tools, methodologies, and technical standards
  • Available for regular travel to EU, USA, China, and Taiwan
