Responsibilities
- Support pre-surgical and post-surgical patient visits and assist during surgical interventions.
- Instruct patients on pre- and post-operative care procedures, recovery protocols, and clinic-specific guidelines.
- Observe patient reactions and report any issues to the Registered Nurse or Physician promptly.
- Ensure accurate and secure clinical recordkeeping while adhering to HIPAA privacy regulations.
- Follow established safety practices and sterilization processes within the clinical setting.
- Set up operating room environments, position patients appropriately, and prepare necessary surgical instruments.
- Document intraoperative activities accurately, including Time Out verification and surgical progress notes.
- Uphold laser safety standards, proper medication labeling, and safe handling of medical equipment.
- Help with post-procedure site cleaning, wound dressing, and patient discharge procedures.
- Monitor inventory levels and manage medical supplies and equipment efficiently.
- Utilize internal systems such as the Manuals Portal and Quality Management tools for compliance and documentation.
- Attend scheduled team meetings, training sessions, and maintain all required certifications.
- Support tasks including photo documentation uploads, appointment coordination, and routine clinic operations.
- Demonstrate professional conduct, build positive patient relationships, and apply sound clinical decision-making.
- Follow OSHA, AAAHC, and internal quality assurance standards consistently.
- Contribute to achieving clinic performance metrics and key performance indicators.
- Remain updated on organizational policies, procedural updates, and safety documentation.
